The nXLi Enhanced platform builds on the strengths of the nXLi family, combining our proven dry Multistage Roots pumping mechanism with a more powerful drive and an intuitive dashboard. Together, these developments support consistent performance, straightforward operation and flexibility across a wide range of applications. 

Designed with reliability, usability and alignment across our dry Multistage Roots portfolio in mind, nXLi Enhanced provides a vacuum solution suitable for a broad range of processes. 

Flexible portfolio for high‑precision applications 

With four variants across the nXL110i Enhanced and nXL200i Enhanced ranges, including both single inlet and dual inlet models, the platform provides the flexibility to match pump performance to your application requirements. 

Dual inlet: One pump. Two functions.

The nXLi Enhanced dual inlet combines high throughput with low-pressure capability in one compact system. This distinctive concept enables simultaneous handling of high gas loads and stable low-pressure backing,  reducing system complexity by removing the need for a second backing pump. 

For applications such as mass spectrometry, where high pumping speed for source gases and low backing pressure for turbomolecular pumps are both essential, it provides an effective alternative to conventional two-pump arrangements. 

The dual inlet capability has been extended with the nXLi Enhanced platform. With the addition of a more powerful drive, the range now includes the nXL200i dual inlet Enhanced, supporting higher throughput and a broader range of applications. 

Trusted pump technology, enhanced where it matters 

At the core of the nXLi Enhanced platform is the dry Multistage Roots mechanism used across the nXLi range.

This proven technology delivers: 

  • Dependable performance with no maintenance needed for up to five years under typical use, helping reduce downtime and support cost-effective operation 
  • Oil-free and dust-free operation that supports clean processes and contamination-free results across a wide range of applications 
  • Lower power consumption than traditional wet pumps of a similar capacity, helping reduce operating costs and heat generation 

Enhanced drive technology 

The nXLi Enhanced drive incorporates Transient Boost Mode, providing additional power during key phases of operation, such as initial chamber pump-down or temporary increases in gas load. The pump operates at an elevated power level for a defined period before automatically returning to its continuous operating condition.

A standardised platform for easier integration 

The nXLi Enhanced platform features a familiar Edwards control panel, providing a consistent user experience across the range. 

Standardised interfaces and communication protocols support straightforward system integration for service teams, system designers, and OEMs. The integrated USB port enables monitoring and diagnostics through our free nST2 software.
